Ely City FC Progress to the Third Round Proper of the FA Vase to meet Welwyn Garden

It’s becoming a very special year for The Robins as they sweep aside Wadham Lodge from Walthamstow who are of the same level league from a different part of the UK.

All 3 goals came in the first half from Alex Theobald, Kelvin Enaro and Tom Williams for Ely and even while under pressure throughout the second half from Wadham, Ely held its nerve to leave Wadham without a replay for a deserved second round victory.
The team were certainly in fine spirits as they returned home and the coach hopes that the form will find its way into the league.
The victory now means that they play Welwyn Garden City FC away on December 3rd.
Before the game a minute silence was observed for Remembrance.
