Like many sports across the country, it’s been a difficult year for playing netball at grassroots level.
There’s been a constant stop, start approach that has seen clubs working closely with England Netball and the Government in an effort to get back on court.
Ely Netball Club has felt the effects of the disruption, with no matches being played since March and months of intermittent training sessions. Despite the challenges, and not being able to get together in the usual way, Ely Netball were determined not to forget the local community and went ahead with their annual Christmas fundraiser, organised by committee members.
A total amount of £322.50 was raised online for their nominated charity, The Prospects Trust, who were thrilled to be receiving the donation.
