Once again the Rotary Club of Ely has awarded a donation of £200 to Headway Cambridgeshire, to help fund the work they carry out in support of local adults with brain injury.
It is often asked what sort of local charity the Rotary Club benefits, and where the money so kindly donated by local people or raised by local people at events such as Aquafest, the Christmas collection, or the Big Band show goes. This is just one of dozens the Rotary Club helps along the way.
On Thursday 18 February, Headway were pleased to host a return visit from Mr. Mike Bentley, Chairman of the club’s Community Service Committee.
Headway Cambridgeshire’s Chief Executive Austin Willett welcomed Mike back to their Cambridge hub to see the rehabilitation work being carried out in the client sessions.
As the charity is dependent on donations and fundraising to help them support clients and their family & carers, it means a lot to receive support from the local community.
Mr. Willett said: “Staff and clients at Headway Cambridgeshire really appreciate this donation from the members of the Rotary Club of Ely – Thank You All!”
