This year’s “Win a Giant Easter egg” raffles, organised by Ely Hereward Rotary Club, raised a cracking £385.30, which will all be donated to local charities and good causes.
The winners were: Jenny Doncaster (The Almonry), Elisabeth Seymour (Ely Fudge Shop), Sue Reeder (Burrows News), Adrian Algar (Sutton Conservative Club), Tina Webb, (Toppers Hairdressers), Phil Hunter (The Albert), Rachel Haynes (Starbucks), Jacquie (Haddenham Galleries), Mrs Lambert (The Lamb Hotel).
The Hereward Rotary Club would like to thank the local businesses who supported this raffle, and everyone who bought a ticket.
New Member for Ely Rotary Club
Last week the President of the Rotary Club of Ely, Viv Doji, inducted a new member, Richard Maxey, into the club.
He is the fifth new member to join the club since last July. Richard, who is a teacher, is also a member of the Isle of Ely Rowing Club.
