The shops in Ely High Street Passage are throwing a street party on Thursday August 10th, following last years successful event organised by the independent retailers who work there.
The party is absolutely free, and will feature live music, storytelling sessions, sewing demonstrations, taster massage sessions, face painting ice creams and a visit from Miss Cambridgeshire.
The party, organised by Burrows Bookshop, Artichoke Ely, PositivEly Treated, The Treasure Chest, Sew Much To Do, Age Concern and Uclassy, is to thank regular customers and to encourage new ones to visit High Street Passage.
A spokesman for High Street Passage says: ‘Our street party last year a was huge success and highlighted what a vibrant community we have in Ely, and how important independent retailers are to the people who live and work in the city. This is our way of saying thank you, and encouraging new shoppers to take a step off the high street to explore the unique blend of shops in our special little alleyway.’
The party starts at 2pm on Thursday August 10 in Ely High Street Passage. For more information click here.
