Hoppy birthday, Hoppy Feet!

Hoppy Feet has kept kids jumping for joy since it started in 2012.

And today, the popular play group celebrated its fifth birthday at Ely Library.

The group bounced into action in 2012 when mum-of-two Michelle Brown struggled to find an affordable music group in Ely that provided musical instruments, toys, games and snacks for her children Xander and Hazel, who are now nine and six.
She decided to set up her own group at Jubilee Gardens, called Singing in the Park, complete with lovable bunny mascot, Eddie Hop.
The group was an instant hit, and when the weather turned cold, Michelle and friends decided to continue it at Ely Library.
Run completely by volunteers, Hoppy Feet has gone from strength to strength, and as well as keeping youngsters entertained, the group regularly fundraises for charity.
Today Hoppy Feet and Eddie celebrated their fifth birthday – and Spotted in Ely were there.
Here’s to many more hoppy years!
