A new church serving Ely and the surrounding villages will launch online on Sunday 27th September. Jubilee Church will be streaming services on Facebook Live, accessible to everyone from the comfort of their own home.
The new church is co-led by Ali Jones and Russell Burgess. Russell recently moved to Ely with his family to help lead the new church. ‘We can’t wait to get going! It’s going to be an adventure, and we can’t wait to see what God is going to do.’
Ali, whose family has been part of the Ely community for 9 years, is excited to be launching the new church online. ‘It’s not the obvious way to launch a church but we’re really excited by the possibilities and the opportunity for people to hear the good news of Jesus and be part of church really easily’.
Part of the Relational Mission family of churches, Jubilee is supported by City Church Cambridge and The Bridge Church in St Ives with the purpose of ‘Loving God, Loving People, Loving Ely’. ‘There are about 30 of us so far,’ says Ali. ‘All ages, and many backgrounds.’
Full details of services and mid-week groups can be found on the website: www.jubileechurchely.co.uk

Jubilee Church plans to start meeting together for services when lockdown restrictions have been lifted.
