Just 2 weeks to Be a Chorister event

Be a Chorister PosterThe first BACFAD in 2016 takes the form of a short afternoon-only taster session for young boys currently in the year 2,3 or 4 groups (and their parents or guardians). The aim is to have lots of fun!
Please note that there is no charge for this very special event, but we do need to know how many people to expect.
The afternoon schedule is as follows:
12.30pm: Please arrive at The Old Palace (Reception) opposite the cathedral. Drinks will be served before all move to Choir House.
1pm: Video and short presentation in Choir House for boys and adults attending.
1.30pm: Parents / guardians can then leave their boys with us. (Free entrance to the cathedral if parents / guardians wish to use the time to visit the building)
1.30pm: Boys will have various activities in Choir House including the decoration of a Chorister Cookie and the learning of a song to sing later.
2.30pm: Boys move to the Cathedral song school where they will check over their song and put on some choir robes.
3pm: Boys assemble in the Cathedral Presbytery where their parents will be able to hear them sing their song before photos and presentation of attendance certificates.
3.15pm: End of the main programme for participants, but an open rehearsal for the cathedral boy choristers will now begin in this part of the building, ending at about 4.10pm. Participants and their parents are warmly invited to stay to observe some or all of this. (Evensong itself is at 5.30pm. Evensong is always open to all)
