Littleport Litterpick – looking for volunteers

Littleport Timebank is organising a litterpick in Littleport on Wednesday 18th Feb and looking for volunteers. The litterpick will start at 9.30am, meeting outside St George’s Medical Centre on Parson’s Lane and finishing around about 11.30am with bacon butties (funded by Cambridge Housing Society) afterwards for volunteers available at YPL on Granby Street. There will also be tea and coffee being provided free by YPL.

Caline Easey, Littleport Timebank Co-ordinator, says “Litter is a growing problem across the village. We’d love to get volunteers please to help out with the litterpick on the 18th February. You don’t need to be a Timebank member, all are welcome, whether you can do all or just some of the two hour litterpick. Children are also welcome to help out, as it’s half term, provided they are supervised by an adult and wear appropriate clothing. East Cambs Council and Amey Cespa have also very kindly provided the equipment (litterpicking grabbers, waste bags and gloves). It’s great to see so many different community groups and organisations pulling together to make a difference.”
