Mane man PC Spencer harnesses his horse whispering skills

You’ve heard the old cliche about firefighters rescuing cats up tree – but a local cop took on the role of horse whisperer in Mepal yesterday.

At 4am on Sunday police were called by their ambulance colleagues who had witnessed ponies wandering across the highway.
PC Guy Spencer helped to return a horse which had strayed from nearby common land, where everyone is allowed to graze their animals.
According to Policing East Cambridgeshire’s Facebook page, “Luckily for us PC Spencer is a horse whisper. Well – he did have a sore throat last week.”
