The search is on during January to find the next Fenland Poet Laureate and it’s open to everyone from age 10+ with 2 groups able to enter.
Juniors 10 to 17 year olds and Senior of year 18 plus can submit their entry up to and including the Friday 29th January with the shortlist of potential winners being revealed on Sunday 28th February and the awards ceremony taking place in March.
To enter, your poem must be no longer than 40 lines and fit on one side of an A4 piece of paper in a font no smaller than 10pt. You must live, work or study in the Fenland area (see map) and only submit one entry to which it must never have been published.

The winners will be given the opportunity to write about local events throughout the year as Fenland Poet Laureate as well present poems at special events and partner with a local organisation to develop ideas and champion poetry in the Fens.
