With another Folk Festival taking place, Morris groups from all over the UK descended on Ely to celebrate a Great British tradition.
Ginette Heard and her knitting groups Knit & Natter and Stitch n’ Bitch made 21 woollen mice to commerate the 21 groups of Morris Dancers that flocked our street. The mice were put into shop windows all around town and small competitions were run in each premises.
We went out to try and find the mice and the photos of the ones we found are below. We have also added some photos of the Morris groups.
