Babylon ARTS are staging a powerful one man show ‘A Girl with a Book’ based on the true story of Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafza on Friday 24 June : 7.30pm, the ticket price? Whatever you decide! Written and performed by Nick Wood for the New Nottingham Playhouse, this will be Babylon ARTS first ‘Pay what you decide’ show where the audience only pay once they’ve seen the show.
Caroline Cawley, Director said ‘The story is based in 2012, when gunmen stopped a bus in Pakistan and shot three young girls. Their crime? Wanting to go to school. It’s a highly acclaimed production and we wanted to encourage more people to come and see the show. You can come and enjoy something they might not normally see without taking a financial risk. It’s our first ‘pay what you decide’ show, you book your tickets in advance and collect at least 15 minutes before the performance. After you’ve seen it you pay whatever you decide, as little or as much as you want.
