This weekend is Prickwillow Ploughing Festival, gates open at 10.00am on Saturday and Sunday.
Entertainment begins on Saturday at 11.15am, with The Hobblers on stage, The Hobblers are a Folk band based in the countryside of Norfolk, and will be preforming various Folk, and Irish Folk songs which I am sure you are going to enjoy, I have also learnt amongst their list of interests include Fine Ale, Fine Cider, and Twix Bars, they sound like our type of group. The Hobblers also have a record label, so I am sure you will be able to buy some of their music.
Then taking over the stage will be “The Tildens” who in their words are a rock band in a tea cup, or possibly a folk band in a whiskey bottle. This band is a collective of talented musicians who craft a musical experience unlike any other. Included in their repertoire is Contemporary, traditional, old time blues, country and they are quoted to say you name it, and we’ll give it go!
Following on during the afternoon we also have JezO a children’s entertainer with a magic show and balloon modelling, followed by the Hobblers, Michael Anthony, and some local Folk Clubs, then rounding off the afternoon with another session from The Tildens.
Sunday entertainment follows a similar programme as Saturday but starting at 11.00am.
Throughout the weekend there is also Horse and Tractor ploughing demonstrations and competitions with judging on Sunday. Plus a Classic Car and Commercial vehicle display at the museum and at Green Farm there’s a display of Vintage Stationary engine and Farm equipment.
