Assembly Operator

Due to expansion of the company’s existing product range, we are seeking an experienced Assembly Operator to join our new and growing company based in Ely.

Main duties include:
##Responsibility for the full production cycle, in accordance with manufacturing procedures
##Ensure production quality is maintained – from material collection in accordance with the BoM, to the final production tests
##Understand and follow company QHSE policies, manufacturing procedures and job standards, as required, to build quality instrumentation
##Complete written records of manufacturing operations and production documentation
##Operate basic manufacturing and measurement equipment (following appropriate training), including but not limited to: microscopes, test equipment, soldering irons, dial callipers and rulers
##Perform repetitive work in accordance with set procedures, sequence and to fixed timeframes
##Assembly of small parts using both hands

Candidates applying will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position, with precision soldering and assembly skills. Any additional skills in wiring, bonding, potting, curing and testing will be advantageous, although training will be provided. A background of working in a laboratory or clean environment with instrumentation, sensors or probes will be of particular interest.

An aptitude for carrying out tasks with precision is essential; candidates must, therefore, be able to demonstrate a high level of manual dexterity and meticulous attention to detail. Fine motor skills with excellent eye co-ordination are essential, as these will be required to carry out the highly detailed tasks involved in this role.

You will be expected to possess basic written and oral communication skills in English language in order to communicate with other team members, understand verbal instruction and read and comprehend written instructions. The ability to remain calm will be an asset, along with dedication to the assigned tasks.
