Vacancy – Trainee Embroidery Machinist

This role is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills and a career using an embroidery machine.  You will be trained on machining hand guided embroidery edges onto wedding veils, as well as trimming, decorating and combing the veils.
You will be started on simple patterns and gradually build up with practice to more elaborate designs. Training will involve different sewing and bonding techniques used to apply beads, crystals etc.
The successful candidate must have studied textiles at college or school and have a proven ability to perform basic hand sewing techniques.  Hand guided machine embroidery is a skill that takes a great deal of practice, so patience is required and a determination to succeed, as well as a willingness to learn and take instructions from senior members of the team.
Training for such a role can take up to 6 months to complete.
Working hours Monday to Thursday 8.10am until 4.55pm and Friday 8.10am until 12.50pm. This is a full time position.
