Winning streak was ended by Wymondham in wet weather conditions.

The rain set in from the start and decided the type of rugby that was going to be played. Repeated infringements saw Wymondham pin Ely back with penalties. A quick tap penalty saw them rumble over for a converted try. The Tigers answered with a penalty of their own, Joel Scott Paul slotted the close range shot at goal. Ely soon found their way back into the opposition half, a quick switch of play saw John Dibb dive over in the corner for an unconverted try.

In the second half the heavens opened and slowed play down. The wet weather killed any flowing rugby. The Tigers won the line-out on the opposition twenty-two. The ball was shipped wide to Jake Alsop who dotted down for a converted try. Wymondham edged closer with a converted penalty of their own. A lapse in Ely’s defence saw the opposition fly-half scuttle through and dot down for a converted try. Wymondham held Ely out for the rest of the game, the final score – 15-17. Man of the match was Lory Martin.
