Witchford Village College Prom 2019

The 28th June 2019 saw Witchford Village College bathed in sunshine as our Year 11 leavers arrived in their splendor to enjoy an evening of sophistication at their Masquerade Prom.

They arrived in style with vehicles that ranged from a Campervan, Ferrari, Range Rover, Capri to Search and Rescue siren lit cars, each and every one met by our Principal Dan Baxby and Vice Principal Paul Baynes who were ready to open doors and welcome the students.

The walk down the red carpet proved popular with all the spectators as they clapped and cheered the mix of style, elegance and fun of the students arrival. Once inside the College students danced the night away with a disco supplied by ‘LD ents’ Laura had them up on their feet all night.

For the memories the students had a Photo booth with an added wind machine, the laughter coming from the booth was infectious. A Special Event in Ely supplied the most gorgeous balloons and decoration to really make the College hall sparkle for the occasion. Miles Ashton spent the evening snapping fabulous photographs capturing the moments that will be special to our students for years to come.

It really was a community event that was simply spectacular. WVC said ‘There was such a wonderful atmosphere with the students who’ve worked so hard recently completing their GCSE’s finally thoroughly enjoying themselves. It was fantastic to see so many friends and family come out to support the evening, it has left WVC feeling firmly nestled in the heart of the community’
