Year 10 students from Witchford Village College experienced what it would be like in the world of work from 6th – 17th March 2017. Local businesses, schools, pre-schools and shops very kindly took students, sometimes two or more, to give them a taste of the working world on a two-week work placement. We have had resounding praise from employers with such comments as “her attitude to her work experience has been fantastic, she is always keen to learn and help where needed”, “this student is a real credit to themselves and Witchford Village College.”
Students came back to school motivated and more confident from this valuable experience, with definite ideas and career aspirations for the future. Some commented that they “enjoyed the placement and the independence it gave them” and “I didn’t really know what to expect but it was so much better than I thought and fun.”
Witchford Village College would like to thank all employers who took part in the Work Experience, we really value your time and effort with our young people and look forward to working with you next year.
